NET Food Pantry News

St. Bede's staffed the NET (Northlake/Embry Hills/Tucker) Food Pantry located in the Tucker Recreation Center in July. 63 families were served with a total of 1,890 pounds of food distributed.  We are an ecumenical outreach made up of area churches providing a three day emergency food supply to families or persons in need. The NET Food Pantry is located in the Tucker Recreation Center on Lavista Rd.  The hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:30 AM-2:00 PM year round, when the Recreation Center is open.

Many thanks go to our volunteers: Loretta Vail, Elaine McClean, Dixie & Fran Snider, Ben Carter, Cathe Echterhoff, Carlin Lutz, Alma, Arianna, & Viridiana Maldonado, Kay Howington, Anita Montelione, Lewis & Sally Cook, and Nancy Bruce.  Also, thanks to the many folks who brought grocery bags - we're well supplied now!

In addition to operating the Pantry once every nine months, St. Bede's provides jelly for the families' orders. There is a basket in the Commons for your jelly donations, or you may write a check to St. Bede's and designate it for NET jelly. Lewis & Sally Cook faithfully deliver your contributions or purchase jelly as needed.
