Jim Handsfield has been a member of St. Bede’s for 31 years. His family moved to Atlanta from Poway, California when he accepted a position as a statistician at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He has served in several capacities at St. Bede’s including folk choir, regular choir, occasional presenter for adult education time. He is in his second year of Education for Ministry for the third time and is preparing for training in spiritual direction at the Haden Institute at Kanuga in Hendersonville, NC. An avid amateur photographer, he travels to interesting places all over the globe, most recently to Nepal to view the Tiji Festival in the Upper Mustang Valley surrounded by the Himalayas. Jim is widowed from Marcy and dad to Matthew who grew up at St. Bede’s. Jim has successfully avoided serving on Vestry in the past, but when asked to consider doing so, feels that it is time for him to give back to the parish in any way the parish desires.
