Lynnsay Buehler received training in spiritual direction and various practices of prayer at the Jesus Center of Atlanta. She has studied Centering Prayer at Green Bough House of Prayer, where she is an associate. In addition, Lynnsay has training in Pastoral Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from Georgia Baptist Medical Center. Lynnsay was a founding member of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta's Commission for Spiritual Formation. She is a contemplative retreat leader and is a member of Spiritual Director's International.
For sixteen years Lynnsay has mentored an Education for Ministry (EFM) group. She has served as a supervisor to students at Emory University's Candler School of Theology. Through the Contextual Education Course. Currently she serves as a spiritual director for Candler's Covenant Colleagues, a program to support clergy women in their first 10 years of ministry.
Lynnsay Buehler has served on the staff of St. Bede's Church since the Fall of 1998. She directs The Julian of Norwich Center and serves our diocese in the ministry of spiritual direction. She is not responsible for any other program or administrative tasks in the parish, thereby making it possible for her to concentrate her talents and graces in the important responsibilities of prayer and spiritual guidance. The ministry of the Julian of Norwich Center is available to all interested persons who wish to deepen a relationship with God.
